Announces Newly Restructured Board
November 8, 2010 – CHICAGO, IL –Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau (CCTB) Chairman Bruce V. Rauner announced today the election of 24 members to the organization’s newly restructured board. Each member represents a critical part of Chicago’s business and civic leadership.
“I am grateful to each individual for their time, expertise and commitment to making Chicago the preeminent global destination for conventions and meetings,” said Bruce V. Rauner, Chairman of the CCTB. “Chicago’s economic vitality is driven by its convention and visitor industry and nothing is more important than to focus our efforts on driving new business to the city. The leadership of Mayor Richard M. Daley, Governor Pat Quinn, and Illinois legislators has helped set the stage for the return of many critical shows and the new board will help make it happen.”
